The Concord Jazz Festival is coming back in 2022.
Yet, it’s not going to look like the ones jazz fans have seen in the past.
Instead of being a day-long ticketed event featuring big-name touring acts at the Concord Pavilion, the 2022 edition will be a five-day program consisting of mostly free events and highlighting a number of local talents.
The jazz festival runs Aug. 3-7 at venues in Concord. The program features five events and has been dubbed “Take Five” in honor of legendary jazz artist (and Concord native) Dave Brubeck.
